In 2021 ANID has developed a technical document on pest control to be applied to organic and sustainable production methods. The document is the result of a working group established after the agreement with ICEA (Institute for Ethical and Environmental Certification), signed with the aim of developing a standard model for the certification of the sustainable pest management.

During the last decades urbanization of wildlife seems to be progressively expanding. The causes are many and mainly related to three main fields: the climate change, the spread of exotic species, the fast-growing urban development. In Italy, today we are facing urbanization of animal species whose habitat is unrelated to the urban setting.
